As summer is drawing to a close, the days are getting darker and the air is getting crisper it’s the perfect time to give my home a little Autumn update!
I love all things Autumnal – knitted jumpers, warm blankets, hot chocolates and cosy nights snuggled on the sofa but the usual reds and oranges that are associated with Autumn wouldn’t work so well with my home so I’ve decided to go for a more glam version!
I’ve used a combination of golds, whites, coppers and beiges to create a more neutral and glam look.
This lets stay home cushion from Matalan sums up Autumn in one go 🙂 The glittery eucalyptus vase, also from Matalan, is a great piece for both Autumn Christmas!

I bought these artificial flowers in a jug from Matalan and love how Autumnal they look!
The throw is also recently from Matalan and so cosy!

Although, I’m seriously considering these too – they just scream cosy! – Link
The leaf at the front is from Tkmaxx and would be perfect for a tealight or candle.

I wanted this pumpkin last Autumn but by the time I got round to buying it it was out of stock! So this year I got in there early and made sure I had one – it’s rose gold and lights up!

I found these other pumpkins in Tkmaxx but have found similar items here:

With the gold pumpkin I would suggest getting a large polystyrene one and spraying it with gold metallic spray!

Now I had an idea in my head for a pumpkin display but couldn’t find the bits I wanted for it, so I decided to get creative!
These foam pumpkins are from Hobbycraft (and can actually be carved too as they are hollow!) and set to work spraying it gold – this is best done outside if possible!

This was the result of the sprayed pumpkin! (Paint type listed below)
I also ordered lots of mini pumpkins from Amazon which would also be sprayed.

I went for the Rustoleum paint for this job as it’s quick drying and I’m super impatient as you probably know!

I sprayed some in the off-white and the stems in gold.
I also sprayed some gold and copper too!
And these are the finished pumpkins! I’m super happy with these, they turned out just like I pictured!
I also ordered a bunch of artificial gypsophilia – for an artificial version I think it looks pretty good!

And a few stems of large white artificial hydrangeas – love the soft look of these!

I pulled the leaves from the hydrangea steams and used pliers to cut he hydrangea and gypsophilia in to small heads ready to dress around the pumpkins.
I laid the three biggest pumpkins on to my debenhams glitter placemat on top of a leaf (see this post for info – here) and three small pumpkins around them, then began to fill in the gaps with the hydrangea and gysophilia heads.
The finished result ended up like this – isn’t it just beautiful! 🙂
I did the same on top of the fireplace – leaves first, pumpkins on top and filled the gaps with the hydrangea and gypsophilia heads. I also found these large pine cones in Tkmaxx which worked well with this display.
You could also buy a large pine cone and spray it for the same effect:

I also added a string of clear fairy lights along this for a bit of light – you all know I love a fairy light!

I used the last few pumpkins to create mini displays in the hallway.
I’m also on the look out for a matching Autumn wreath to hang on the mirror above this – so watch this space!
That’s all so far – bet you fancy a hot chocolate and a cosy blanket no? I know I do!
Lots of Love
