I like to decorate my rooms with a neutral colour palette – lots of whites, creams and greys – so that I can add or change accessories easily when I fancy a change!

My style has changed a lot over the years, our bedroom in our last house was mostly black and dark grey believe it or not, but all done through bedding, cushions and curtains so when I liked a new trend it was easy to change colour scheme without needing a full re-decoration.

So here are my favourite trends at the moment that I'm incorporating in to my home!

Rose Gold

I've been growing more and more fond of rose gold over the last few months and already started adding bits of it in to my study (with rose gold desk accessories) and wardrobe with rose gold watches but I can see this trend growing even more for autumn – it's the perfect cosy warm glow colour!

I just love these home office accessories from John Lewis, will definitely need some of these! – Link

Now, I'm not normally one for lots of Halloween décor but I've already ordered this rose gold pumpkin for it! I tried last year too but it was out of stock before I could get it, so had to get in early this year haha – Link

This rose gold table from IWOOT is just stunning! – Link

Even the classic lightbox has gone rose gold!! – Link

I'm predicting lots of gorgeous rose gold Christmas decorations to hit the shops this year and I'll definitely be adding a bit of that to mine!

Another very on trend design is marble – I've got some stationary in my study already for this theme, it just looks so elegant! Marble also works beautifully with rose gold and greys – can see lots of that being popular over Christmas too!

Just imagine that marble wrapping paper under the tree! – Link

I NEED this clock for my study – it would go so perfectly! – Link

As would this little marble and copper sign, also a total bargain! – Link

I love the mixture of marble and metallic gold on this cushion – another cushion I need to find room for! – Link

This is always one of my favourite trends – mixing together different textures and shades to give the room dimension and interest, think fluffy cushions and geometric accessories.

The reflections that would come from this gorgeous candle holder would be fab! I love this geometric triangle style – Link

I've got my eye on these pretty gold textured cushions, the shimmer and texture work lovely together – Link

I've also got these curtains on my wish list – that textured gold sparkle would look amazing! – Link

Grey has been popular for a little while now and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, which is great because I love a bit of grey as you already know!

The josette range never seems to age – this cake stand is a mixture of greys and would look so elegant with afternoon tea laid out on it – Link

I definitely have a cushion obsession! I need these too, love the textured pattern on them – Link

My other addiction has to be with hearts – turn anything in to a heart shape and I'll love it! These coasters are on my shopping list too, as Mr R has destroyed my recent set – Link

Love this table runner style – it comes in a gold colour too – Link

M&S have also got these lovely diamond throws in (clearly I like diamond patterns too!) they come in 5 colours and look similar to the gold one in my spare room – I've been thinking of changing the one in our bedroom for a while now and this might just be it! Link

Artificial Flowers

I've always been a bit obsessed with artificial flowers, mostly because I can't keep the real ones alive for 5 minutes, but even more so lately – they're getting more and more realistic!

Just how realistic do they look!! I really need to find an artificial bouquet for my lounge soon and I'm thinking something like these – Link

I also love these from Asda! – Link

I'll add a some glittery foliage at Christmas time to my artificial flowers to add a little sparkle!

Chunky Knits

They just scream warm and cosy – every time I see chunky knits it reminds me of hot chocolate and fluffy socks for some reason!

Love this chunky knit cushion! Link

I also need this gorgeous cable knit throw – it just has winter written all over it! Link

Talking of sparkle, that's a trend that never goes out of fashion! I'm seriously like a magpie, something sparkles at me and I'm sold!

Love the look of these glittery diffusers from Asda! – Link

And more cushions – but how amazing does this beaded one look! Link

  1. I love the rose gold design trend too! The banana leaf and palm fronds prints are also catching my eye. I don’t really like them when they’re overdone but in small accents, it’s really nice.
