I like to decorate my rooms with a neutral colour palette – lots of whites, creams and greys – so that I can add or change accessories easily when I fancy a change!
My style has changed a lot over the years, our bedroom in our last house was mostly black and dark grey believe it or not, but all done through bedding, cushions and curtains so when I liked a new trend it was easy to change colour scheme without needing a full re-decoration.
So here are my favourite trends at the moment that I'm incorporating in to my home!
I've been growing more and more fond of rose gold over the last few months and already started adding bits of it in to my study (with rose gold desk accessories) and wardrobe with rose gold watches but I can see this trend growing even more for autumn – it's the perfect cosy warm glow colour!
Now, I'm not normally one for lots of Halloween décor but I've already ordered this rose gold pumpkin for it! I tried last year too but it was out of stock before I could get it, so had to get in early this year haha – Link
I'm predicting lots of gorgeous rose gold Christmas decorations to hit the shops this year and I'll definitely be adding a bit of that to mine!
Another very on trend design is marble – I've got some stationary in my study already for this theme, it just looks so elegant! Marble also works beautifully with rose gold and greys – can see lots of that being popular over Christmas too!
This is always one of my favourite trends – mixing together different textures and shades to give the room dimension and interest, think fluffy cushions and geometric accessories.
Grey has been popular for a little while now and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, which is great because I love a bit of grey as you already know!
M&S have also got these lovely diamond throws in (clearly I like diamond patterns too!) they come in 5 colours and look similar to the gold one in my spare room – I've been thinking of changing the one in our bedroom for a while now and this might just be it! Link
I've always been a bit obsessed with artificial flowers, mostly because I can't keep the real ones alive for 5 minutes, but even more so lately – they're getting more and more realistic!
I also love these from Asda! – Link
I'll add a some glittery foliage at Christmas time to my artificial flowers to add a little sparkle!
They just scream warm and cosy – every time I see chunky knits it reminds me of hot chocolate and fluffy socks for some reason!
Talking of sparkle, that's a trend that never goes out of fashion! I'm seriously like a magpie, something sparkles at me and I'm sold!
