About a year ago we converted half of our double garage into a single garage, small family room and utility room. The utility room is a future project that we will get round to but I will share our family room with you all!

This was the garage space before, the space was completely wasted!

We had some brilliant builders come in and convert half, this was a half way shot – the little bit a the back is what will become the utility room.

This was the finished building project, freshly plastered and ready for us to decorate!

Mr Rackley did all of the finishing work on this room, painted the walls pure brilliant white, wallpapered the feature wall, hung the curtain rail and even laid the carpet down! This was Christmas time again hence the little tree in the window (it grew a bit this year though haha!)

We purchased the below fireplace and sold the brass fire that came with it, then replaced it with the silver one which matched our decor better 🙂

When this room was being done we asked the builders to put the plug socket and ariel port at this height so that the cables would be hidden behind the TV – this TV has no boxes.

One wall has been wallpapered as a feature wall, this paper is a subtle linen style with very faint bits of shimmer in it 🙂
