This is my absolute favourite time of the year without a doubt! I LOVE Christmas! Since we moved in together, we always spend a weekend night in early November watching movies and putting the tree up.

The first year we moved into this house it was the week before Christmas and the very first big purchase we made was our Christmas tree – we had a few bits of furniture but a fully decorated tree within days of moving in – it’s all about priorities haha!

Last night was that time of the year for us! We watched Elf and Santa Claus the movie while perfecting the tree, it makes me so happy 🙂

Here is this year’s beauty! I’m as happy with this tree now as the day we first put it up, it’s so full and pretty. It come’s pre-lit with 500 lights – so one less thing to worry about!

We started by fluffing the tree out of course, then added the tree skirt. We began decorating with the gold ribbon first and wrapped it round, clamping down the ends with metal bauble hooks (from home bargains and poundland – 99p a pack!) then we loop the silver beading into the gaps between the ribbon. Then we start with the big sparkly baubles and space them out around the tree, then the silver diamond shaped ones, then take a colour at a time (gold, silver and white) and fill the gaps making sure the same colour isn’t too close. Then we add the snowflakes, bows and icicle baubles, then the big star at the top! Finally, we add the light up presents underneath and there you go!!

This garland matches the tree perfectly – I’ve also bought a few more of these to put elsewhere this year! Love the WeRChristmas brand! The garland comes with gold decorations and I add a few silver baubles to match my theme! The stockings get clamped between the top fireplace ledge.

Not just for Christmas but these are my lovely lanterns from wilko (Link) and I got these fab dancing wick candles to go inside – they look so realistic!! The photos don’t do it any justice, for those that follow my insta story there was a video that shows it much better!

Mr Rackley actually chose this little house and I had no idea what I was going to do with it! It’s created the perfect little winter scene table centre though!

These stunning star lights finish the window perfectly too! This is two sets together and have been hung using cup hooks along the top.

More information on these star lights can be found HERE

Finally, this table runner and flower centrepieces are also here year round – information on these can be found HERE – but I’ve added some glittery holly to them to make them more festive! I found them in the garden centre but similar can be found at the link below.
